Between 25-26 September 2015, Mrs. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand in Vancouver, visited Whitehorse to meet and exchange views with the Thai Community in the capital city of Yukon. The Consul-General was warmly welcome by members of the Thai Community, most of whom had lived in Whitehorse and various other cities of Western Canada for more than 15 years. The Consul-General informed the Thai Community about the projects of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in 2015 to promote Thailand and to enhance ties with Canada in all fields. She also enquired about the livelihood of the Thai Community in Whitehorse, exchanged views, and answered questions concerning the consular services and related laws.
On this occasion, the Consul-General informed the Thai Community of the Royal Thai Consulate-General’s project plan for 2016 which included the establishment of Thailand Corners in various cities of Western Canada. On this regard, the Thai Community warmly welcomed the project and expressed their support and wish for Thailand Corner to be established in Whitehorse.
During the visit, the Consul-General also discussed with Canadian offices concerned on the plan to carry out numerous projects and activities to enhance ties between Thailand and Canada.
