The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Vancouver led by Mr. Nontawat Chandrtri, Consul-General, organized the annual mobile consular services in Alberta in according with the policy of public diplomacy. The project was held in Calgary between 31 July – 2 August 2018 and in Edmonton between 4 – 6 August 2018. The consular services provided were the acceptance of electronic passport application, registration for birth certificate and death certificate, registration of marriage, registration of divorce and document legalization as well as consular advices for members of Thai community in Calgary, Edmonton and nearby cities. There were more than 300 Thai nationals who took part in the project this year.
In addition, the Consul-General also met with Mr. Dennis L. Anderson, the Honorary Consul-General of Thailand to Edmonton, representatives from the Thai associations and Thai workers in both Edmonton and Calgary to exchange views and information on the promotion and strengthening of Thai national’s well-being and standard of living in their respective community. On this occasion, the Consul-General also visited the Thai cultural booth at the Heritage Festival, which is the biggest annual festival held in Edmonton.
